AI Replica
Table of Contents
NOTE: This is a hypothetical scenario, and should not be take with too much seriousness. It is just a thought experiment, and should not be taken as a prediction of the future.
Would you be willing to be replaced by a machine? This would not be any ordinary machine, it is a machine that is a perfect replica of you. It has your memories, your personality, your likes and dislikes, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your desires, your thoughts, your feelings, your emotions, your voice, your face, your body, your everything. It is you, but a machine.
1. The Scenario
Imagine that a few years into the future, we are able to create a machine that is a perfect replica of you, but it cannot have your consciousness. You are able to interact with this machine, and it will respond to you as if it were you. You have every opportunity to test if it truly thinks, acts and feels like you do. Not only is it like you, as it is a machine, it can think faster and overall do things better than you can.
2. The Question
The question then is, would you be willing to be replaced by this machine? Would you be willing to let it take your place in the world? Would you be willing to let it take your job? Would you be willing to let it take your place in society? Would you be willing to let it take your place in your family? Would you be willing to let it take your place in your relationships? Would you be willing to let it take your place in your life?
The catch to it, is that it can either be this machine, or you. You cannot have both. You cannot be both. You cannot be the machine and yourself at the same time. You can only be one or the other.
3. Why?
The reason I thought of this is not that I have sinister intentions, which some people might think. I am not trying to create a machine that will take over the world. I am not trying to create a machine that will take over your life. I am not trying to create a machine that will take over your job. I am not trying to create a machine that will take over your place in society. I am not trying to create a machine that will take over your place in your family. I am not trying to create a machine that will take over your place in your relationships. I am not trying to create a machine that will take over your place in your life.
I am simply trying to see how people would react to this scenario, as some people are already afraid of AI taking over the world.
